FCC Mount in the Works

All parts have been welded together.

As described in my first post about the right console, I want to replace my wooden FCC mount with somewhat more stable and smaller.
First all the parts get cut and milled to size.

Then everything gets positioned and tacked.

Sadly my welding has seen better days, the welds look awful, but everything is square and fits together 😀

A bit of work with the grinder and it looks quite usable

As usual I had to testfit the parts in the the pit – if fits exactly as I wanted it to and the distance to the console is perfect.

Since I got a new 3D printer (BambuLab P1S) which is phenomenal I printed a new outside shell for the mount and the quality is just sensational.

Fits like a glove

That’s what I’m talking about 🙂

Now I have to position everything correctly and give it the correct color 🙂
