After my visit to the AFB Zeltweg I knew that could not use the plastic joystick anymore, I had to have something made of metal.
Thrustmaster had made the COUGAR, an exact replica of the F-16 controls, completely made of metal – I had to have one, of course…
Looking at the picture it is obvious, that the Cougar uses too much space “out-of-the-box”. In the real F-16 panels are mounted on the places, where stick and throttle reside – I would not have been able to mount them there
So, modification had to be done, as well to the stick as to the throttle:
