After 2,5 years (wow) there really is one part of the sim that can be called “FINISHED”.
It’s unbelievable that it took so long, but in the end there’s been quite a lot of things to do.
Research, building prototypes, program the software and that goes through multiple iteration, additionaly making videos and cutting those..
But finishing the right side gives me a lot of new motivation to move on with the next parts.
All the switches are fully functional and are shown in Windows as joystick “F-16 RightConsole” through one Arduino ProMicro.

The instruments all word and are controlled through BMSAIT at the moment. But since I ran into some performance issues with it due to my setup, I’m actually in the process of writing my own software to send data from the PC to the Arduino and then control the motors, displays and LEDs.

Backlighting of the panels is also done, thanks to Claus from Denmark who did the backlight PCBs in our coorperation (I’m designing and building the hardware of the panels, he does the backlight PCBs).

Of course the floodlight for regular lighting also work, connectors to the right side are already implemented.
